Jean-Philippe Toussaint is a Belgian novelist and one of the representative figures of “Nouveau Roman” (or “New Novel”) in French-language literature (Toussaint labels his works as Nouveau Nouveau Roman). He was born November 29, 1957 in Belgium, and lives in France since 1971. All of his novels were published by the famous Les Éditions de Minuit (Midnight Press) in France.
As of 2005, Toussaint has published these books, including La Sallede Bain (1985), Monsieur (1986), L’Appareil-photo (1989), La Réticence (1991), La Télévision(1998), Autoportraint (à l’étranger) (2000), Faire l’amour (2002) and Fuir (2005; the winner of Prix Médicis). Moreover, he worked on three films to date: Monsieur (1990; adapted from the novel of the same name), La Sévillance (1993; adapted from L’Appareil-photo) and La Patinoire (1998). In addition, Toussaint is a skilled photographer as well.
In this lecture, Toussaint will introduce Livre/Louvre, his 2012 exhibition in Louvre, and his film Trois fragments de Fuir.

截至2005年图森已出版的小说包括有：《浴室》(1985年)、《先生》(1986年)、《照相机》(1989年)、《迟疑》(1991年)、《电视》(1998年)、《自画像(在国外)》(2000年)、《做爱》(2002年)和《逃跑》(获得2005年法国“美第奇图书奖”)，此外他还导演电影《先生》(改编自同名小说，1990年)、《塞维利亚人》(改编自《照相机》，1993年)以及《溜冰场》(1998年)。图森同时也是一位摄影艺术家。
本次讲座图森将会介绍他2012年在卢浮宫的展览《书/卢浮宫》（Livre/Louvre），并带来他的电影《逃跑的三个片段》。
