During the mid of the 20thcentury, China, which just put an end of Imperial rule, was experiencing many tribulations as it was dominated by numerous warlords and fragmented by foreign powers. Liang You magazine was founded in February 1926 and finished in October 1945. During 20 years, it was published 172 pictorials with 32000 photos, which reported transition of China, political figures, social facts, art and culture, theatre and movie and places of interest and etc. This lecture will focus on the life of the chaotic period.
