FA-SH-ART! is the first RAM series of events related to Arts & Fashion creativity. The first edition proposes to explore the mapping and connections between Dutch and Chinese Fashion scenes which are involved into very strong creativity processes, reinventing the codes of Fashion, observing the contextual mutations, extending the fashion scene to design and visual arts.
Our worldly acclaimed speakers and researchers will introduce Chinese and Dutch Fashion scenes, questioning the way Chinese and Dutch designers are pushing the limits of Fashion to beyond categorizations, reductive identifications in order to invent fresh concepts, outstanding clothes and exciting transdisciplinarity.
FA-SH-ART! Basic Instincts, Dutch and Chinese Fashion in context is organized with the support of DUTCHDFA (Dutch Design Fashion Architecture) and the Dutch Consulate.

About the Speakers
José Teunissen holds a Professorship of Fashion Theory and Research at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, Arnhem, The Netherlands and works as an independent Fashion curator. Since 2009 she is also Visiting Professor at the University of the Arts, London. She is currently a board member of Premsela, Dutch Platform for Design and Fashion and a member of Dutch Creative Industries Council. She is also chair of the network CLICK/Next Fashion the governmental innovation network for the creative Industries. José Teunissen studied Dutch Language and literature and Film and Television-science. From 1990 till 1998 she lectured Film Aesthetics at the University of Amsterdam. From 1998 till 2007 she was curator of Fashion and Costumes at the Centraal Museum in Utrecht. Research interests focuses on fashion as performance, identity and presentation. Among her publications are: Droog & Dutch Design (Centraal Museum, 2000), The Ideal Woman (SUN 2004), Global Fashion, Local Tradition (Terra, 2005), Mode in Nederland (Terra, 2006), The Power of Fashion (Terra & ArtEZ Press, 2006), Fashion & Accessories (Terra & ArtEZ Press, 2007), Fashion & Imagination (ArtEZ Press & d’jonge Hond, 2009), the New Male (ArtEZ Press, d’jonge Hond, 2010)
Bert de Muynck is an architect, writer and co-director of Moving Cities a Shanghai-based think-thank investigating the role that architecture and urbanism play in shaping the contemporary city. Since September 2011, Bert de Muynck holds the position of assistant professorsat the University of Hong-Kong Faculty of Architecture, and that in the HKU Shanghai Study Center. Fashion China Mapping is a research started in 2011 and edited in 2012, commissioned by The DutchDFA Fashion to Moving Cities. Its objective is to provide insight into the ideas, work and dilemmas of a selection of Chinese fashion designers, as well as to map out the structure of the Chinese fashion industry and identify key elements and opportunities. Based on 15 interviews with leading Chinese fashion designers and desktop research, this report surveys the work and careers of the designers in China that will influence tomorrow fashion agenda, both in China and the world.
Shaway Yeh is the chief fashion editor of Modern Media Group, a relevant pioneer in Chinese fashion and design scene. Yeh leads Modern Weekly as one of the frontier publications worldwide during her seven years’ chef. She has given speeches on forums held in Chinese Fashion Designer Association, British Luxury Association and HK Art Fair among others. She sits the judge of Swiss Textile Award and RADO Emerging Designers Award. She curated the retrospective show of Pierce • Cardin and Mademe Song in CAFAM in 2010, co-curated with renown stylist Nicola Formichetti A Plus – a fashion art exhibition collaborating with Lane Crawford Beijing to introduce nine Chinese fashion designers during the New York Fashion Week in 2011. She also curated UK/China Fashion Film at UCCAthis October.

嘉宾简介:
JoséTeunissen,现任荷兰阿纳姆ArtET艺术学院的时尚理论与研究专业教授,Premsela荷兰设计与时尚研究院的董事,政府创意产业创新联网CLICK/Next Fashion主席,及荷兰创意业界协会的成员。她同时也是一位独立时尚策展人。自2009年起,她作为客座教授指教于伦敦艺术大学。JoséTeunissen曾研读荷兰语、文学、电影及电视科学。自1998年到2007年,她担任乌特勒支中央博物馆的时尚策展人。其研究兴趣在于时尚作为表演、身份与表达。她曾出版多部著作,包括《Droog与荷兰设计》(中央博物馆,2000)、《理想的女人》(SUN出版社,2004)、《全球时尚,本土传统》(Terra出版社,2005)、《荷兰模式》(Terra出版社,2006)、《时尚的力量》(Terra与ArtEZ联合出版,2006),《时尚与装饰》(Terra与ArtEZ联合出版,2007),《时尚与想象》(ArtEZ与d’jonge Hond联合出版,2009)、《新男性》(ArtEZ与d’jonge Hond联合出版,2010)。

叶晓薇,现代传播集团时尚编辑总监,她是中国在时尚和设计方面重要的意见领袖。在担任<周末画报>生活版总监的七年中,引领杂志成为世界主流刊物。她曾在中国服装设计师协会、英国奢侈品协会以及香港国际艺术展等举办的论坛上发表演讲,并担任过瑞士纺织大奖及雷达表新锐设计师大奖的评委。她筹办了2010年在北京中央美术学院艺术馆举办的皮尔•卡丹与宋怀桂纪念展,在2011年纽约时装周期间与知名造型师Nicola Formichetti 一道推介了九位中国时装设计师,并与北京连卡佛共同呈现A Plus时尚艺术展。今年10月在北京798艺术区尤伦斯当代艺术中心策展UK Fashion Films – 时•光。
