Hsu Chia Wei
1983 born in Taichung
Currently works and lives in TaipeiHsu’s artistic practice is focused on the imagery from video installations and narrative themes in order to unveil a broader view of various mechanisms in the contemporary age. At the same time, he explores the memory, imagination, identity and other cultural concerns of the place where the filming took place. The juxtaposition of performance and events within the narrative of the video installation spawns a wormhole; in the see-saw between the text of the real and the narrative of the imaginary, a legend is created.

许家维的艺术实践藉由录像装置的图像和叙事主题，揭露当代机制的场景，同时探寻拍摄地点的记忆、想象力、身分和其它文化上的联系。表演与事件的并置在录像装置叙事中创造了一个虫洞，于是在现实文本与虚构叙事体这二者的拉距之间，去创造一个传说。
