Song Tao, 1979 born in Shanghai; Ji Weiyu, 1980 born in Shanghai.
Currently work and live in Shanghai.
“BIRDHEAD” was formed in 2004, and their oeuvre consists mainly ofsnap-shots captured of daily life in their native city, Shanghai. They have, over time, shot a large number of photographs, in black and white as well as color, most of which are realistic portraits of the modern metropolis imbued with their distinctive subjectivity and attitude. Through their everyday experience of life in Shanghai as well as the relationship between the self and the city, their works reveal Shanghai’s rapid development and transformation as the artists live it.

“鸟头”成立于2004年，他们的作品主要是以抓拍的摄影方式来捕捉他们出生的城市——上海的日常生活，是一种具有主观色彩且原汁原味的现今都市现实的写照。通过平时在上海的生活体验以及自身与城市的关系，在作品中展示了他们生活着的上海的飞速发展和变化。
