Simon Kirby
Contemporary Visual Art Specialist
Simon Kirby has over 25 years close engagement with China with 10 years working directly with artists in-country. He lives in Beijing where he acts as East Asia representative for leading London gallery Victoria Miro. Between 2009 and 2012 Kirby was Director of the Beijing space of leading dealership in Chinese contemporary Chambers Fine Art. From 2002 – 2009 Kirby was based out of Shanghai where he established ‘Artist Links China’ for the British Council: an intensive artists’ exchange programme between England and China.
Kirby regularly publishes on the cultural scene in China and a recent piece was nominated in the 2012 Amnesty International Media Awards. London based Index on Censorship recently re-issued Kirby’s 2008 interview with Ai Weiwei in its 40th anniversary issue listing it as one of the ‘ten most outstanding pieces’ published by the magazine. Kirby is also active in curating exhibitions. In 2010, Chinaarts portal Artron named his exhibition River Flows East – Landscapes of the Imagination ‘Best Group Show of the Year’.

OTHER GALLERY officially opened in 2009 with its first exhibition space in the 798 arts complex in Beijing. 西门柯壁与中国密切接触已有25年之久，他与中国艺术家一起工作亦有10年的时间。西门工作生活在北京，担任伦敦维多利亚米罗画廊的东亚区代表。在2009至2012年间，西门柯壁担任前波画廊北京空间的总监。2002年到2009年，柯壁为英国文化协会在上海建立了「艺术链接中国Artist Links」项目，这个项目为中英两国艺术家的密切交流提供了平台。
西门柯壁定期发表关于中国文化景象的文章，他新近获得「2012年Amnesty International体奖」的提名。伦敦媒体「Index」也将西门2008年与艺术家艾未未的访谈文章，收录在其庆祝发行四十周年的专刊「十篇最杰出的文章」中。西门柯壁也积极策划展览，2010年，中国艺术门户网站雅昌将他策划的「一江春水」展览入选为「年度最佳联展」 之一。
高珊
1978年生于浙江
艺术家本周将在其他画廊·上海空间举办个展。艺术家为本次展览创作的新主题探讨了想象中的新奇有机体的世界，以及人类试图对这一世界进行分类、控制、了解的过程。“微观”系列中的大部分作品都是用日常的发泡材料，艺术家对这些材料进行雕刻、上色，并借助其他非传统的雕塑媒介进行加工。“微观”的三个系列都体现了人在乌托邦内外的旅程。“空间中的球体形态”创造一个幻想中的新生物，其中的微观宇宙被缩小，静静展示了人类存在的所有渴望和不便。“新生”将这种新生物植入科学实验室中，这是人类研究和控制的领域。最后，“阅读障碍”将另一个复杂得多的问题引入高珊的另一种探索体系，即拙劣地批判着自身的分类、解读、评估体系的人类。“微观”是艺术家成熟作品的首次完整展示。
