Malaysian contemporary art scene as well as the larger South East Asian region is unfamiliar to the cultural workers in China. Malay art scene without sustainable art infrastructure and strong influence of the market in the region tempts to be challenge for artists to continue their work and independent position in the art system. Ise is one of the few who found very unique role in the art scene through his art practice, Parking Project Initiative, Super Friends and Sent Ap magazine.

Roslisham Ismail aka ISE
Born in 1972 in Kota Bharu,Kelantan, graduate of Mara University Of Technology (BA 1994-1997).Roslisham ismail aka Ise is a conceptual artist whose work centers around his personal experience of urban communities and the culture of the populace. His inter-active events celebrate dialogue and meeting cultures,while he works with comic narratives and collected popular material. He took part in the Jakarta Biennale in 2009, Istanbul Biennale with Indonesia collaborative Ruangrupa in 2005, Singapore Biennale 2011 and Asia Triennale in Manchester 2011.
In 2006 was the Australian High Commission resident at the Gunnery Studio,Art Space,Sydney.Heheld his first solo exhibition at 4A Gallery, in 2007.He receivedgrant from The Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur to travel to Japan,Ise is also a co-founder of Sentap,a quaterly art publication in Malaysia.First art English- Bhasa art publication in Malaysia. He runs a alternative space Parking projects in KL.

与大部分东南亚国家一样，马来西亚的当代艺术现状对于中国的文化艺术工作者来说是如此的陌生。艺术行业内部缺乏可持续的基本架构、商业市场的影响越来越大，在这些与中国极其相似的问题面前，如何继续创作并保持自己的独立性成为了艺术家最大的挑战。艺术家Ise在这样一个特殊又普遍的艺术环境中扮演着一个不可替代的角色，不断地进行着大量的实践工作，从发起《停车项目》、《超级朋友》到SentAp艺术杂志的创立等等。

Roslisham Ismail aka ISE
1972年出生于马来西亚吉兰丹州哥达巴鲁市，毕业于玛拉工艺美术大学（1994—1997）。作为一位观念艺术家，Ise将自己对于不同的城市社群、普通大众的文化的个人体验作为工作的中心。通过漫画叙事以及不断“收集”流行事物，他的艺术项目充满了对话和不同领域之间的文化碰撞。他的艺术项目近年来参加了2009年雅加达双年展；与印尼ruangrupa艺术小组的共同项目参加了2005年伊斯坦布尔双年展；2011年新加坡双年展以及曼彻斯特亚洲三年展等。
2006年，Ise获得了澳大利亚悉尼艺术机构的艺术家入驻，并于2007年在悉尼完成了自己的首个个展。之后他还获得了日本艺术基金会的资助前往日本考察入驻。Ise同时也是艺术杂志SentAp的创始人之一，该出版物是马来西亚唯一的英语—马来文双语艺术出版物。在吉隆坡，他还独立运营着《停车项目》（国际艺术入驻项目）。
