Mr. Hu Renyi, lecturer at the School of Visual Arts in New York City,will introduce the art education in the UScolleges today. Topics will cover studying, living, working andthe cross-cultural communications among students and school faculty. Mr. Hu will also discuss the art school's credit requirements, exam policies, financial aid and independent web research.Also joining this talkwill be Mr. Gao Shiming, Executive Dean oftheSchool of Intermedia Art at China Academy of Art, who will offer his unique knowledge and understanding from his experience as a visiting scholar at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. His talkwill continue on art school education, though will be more focusing on the comparison between the US and China. This eventwill also be a good opportunity for those who are interesting in studying art aboard. Some Chinese working artist's who have gained their art degrees in the United Stateswill also be present during the event.

作为一位自小在中国接受艺术教育，现在美国纽约视觉艺术学院授课的一线艺术教师，胡任乂先生将从其个人的教学经验出发，通过生动的描述和具体的案例对美国的当代视觉艺术教育作一个大致介绍。其内容将涉及学生的学习、生活和工作情况，不同文化背景的师生之间的交流和相处，学校的学分和考试制度，教师的聘用和评定，教育贷款，学校网络管理等各个方面。同时特邀嘉宾高士明先生也将通过他在美国访学期间的所见所闻，在现场与大家分享他的感受和认识。本次讲座将为观众提供关于美国视觉艺术教育的第一手信息，同时也有机会让观众反思中国的同类教育；乃至可以为正在考虑留学的观众提供参考。现场还将有在其他美国艺术院校获得学位的艺术家参与讨论。
