7月3日至5日，艺术家葛宇路将在上海外滩美术馆举办为期三天的实验性夏训营——“务虚会”。期间，葛宇路将与好友及合作者带来一系列工作坊、表演以及各式游玩活动。在“务虚会”，艺术家将与其他对话者们共同探讨并提出新的可能：学习、训练与社交如何摆脱传统的艺术机构公共活动的模式，从而将美术馆转化为一个富有动态与节日氛围的场域。
三日“务虚会”将向观众呈现众多参与式活动：室内足球赛；学习如何用废弃材料做出有个人意义的物件；通过桌游重新思考自身与语言的关系；嘉年华风味的音乐表演……在三天的游乐时间中，“务虚会”旨在强调如何通过合作，互助，社群，胡闹，嬉戏，狂欢等方式，面对过度务实的现实，建立精神性实践的抵抗空间。
Between July 3–5, the artist Ge Yulu hosted Pilgrims of Mischief, a three day experimental training camp at the Rockbund Art Museum featuring workshops, performances, and different forms of play with his friends and collaborators.
Here, Ge Yulu and his interlocutors questioned and proposed how learning, training, and social interaction can deviate from traditional modes of museum education, transforming the institution into a dynamic and festive site. The public was invited to participate in events such as an indoor soccer match; learn how to repurpose waste materials into symbolically charged objects; rethink their relationship with language through board games; and enjoy musical performances typically expected in carnival contexts, amongst other activities.
Over three days, this training camp sought to explore how collaboration, mutual aid, community, play, and revelry might serve as modes of resistance; carving out a space for spiritual practice against the pressures of an excessively pragmatic reality.
