In connection to the themes of the current exhibition Share, But it’s not Fair, RAM in collaboration with Colorbox Arts are launching a series of 4 workshops for children.
Workshop II- Panoramic Imagined City
Age: 9-12 years
Instructors: Gill Saul and Huang Ying
Fee: 100RMB/ Family/event, Maximum 20 kids are admitted
Juxtaposition is a tool that can create new ways of critical thinking and humour by placing two things together that normally would not exist in the same place. Paola Pivi uses this in her photographs of displaced animals. David Hockney is another artist that uses this method in his panoramic images. We will draw from both of these artists as a starting to point to create a large-scale Panorama set in Shanghai. Using cut out shapes, we will create a menagerie of animals to fill our city both in large and small scales.

亲子活动—想象中的城市全景图
参与者：9-12岁(每场活动限20人，额满为止)

“并置”是一种评判性的、幽默的、创作思考的艺术方法，即通过把两件完全不可能存在同一个地点的事物放在一起。波拉•彼薇把这一方法运用到动物摆拍的摄影作品中。大卫·霍克尼是另一位用这一方法到他全景图像的艺术家。工作坊将采集这两位艺术家的灵感贯通到孩子们的创作中，拼出大幅的上海全景。我们鼓励孩子们把各自的剪纸动物形象散置城市空间，使上海摇身变为一座动物园。
