16:00-18:00 Glass Workshop

Content: Design and create a theme, draw a pattern → cut out the pattern and match the pattern to the glass,

Cutting and grinding glass → collage the polished glass according to the pattern, and use electric welding to heat tin for bonding

Production process: cold processing

Materials used: stained glass, scissors, welding, tin, sander, pen, paper, etc.

Members will mainly experience the cutting, cutting and polishing process of glass during the glass cold processing process.

In the current exhibition "Lin Tianmiao Solo Exhibition: Body and Unity" at the Rockbund Art Museum (RAM), we saw three sophisticated and fantastic installations made of glass materials by the artist in cooperation with the Shanghai Museum of Glass.

The emergence and use of glass has a history of more than 4,000 years in human life. Its high hardness and fragility make this transparent material unique. On July 14th, we brought a rare glass making experience workshop to RAM members. Under the guidance of professionals from the Shanghai Museum of Glass, members can create a glass mosaic artwork by themselves.
