Synopsis:
In a village in northern Shanxi, an eight-year old footbound woman and her husband toil from dawn to dusk, come rain or shine, eking out an existence on their small plot of land…
Two little feet bound to the land,
Her whole life decided by one man.
A curse that has lasted for centuries,
Leaving only thousands of cumbersome steps
And a face weathered by time.
Until the sun sets in the West
Sending off a last nameless silhouette
With white clouds in the sky
And a round moon shining from above.
