Synopsis
As young adults flood into the rural cities of China in search of work, this is the tale of one man's seduction of an underage girl to prostitute herself. This story of the weak exploiting the weaker takes an unexpected turn when the young man suddenly disappears and the girl is confronted with her pregnancy. The film charts a journey not just a young girl robbed of her innocence but also of a country dealing with its' own growing pains.
Director Statement
This film intends to show the situation of the young people that pour into county towns from the rural villages. These disadvantaged people for whom life is a grim struggle for survival, often have to deceive and exploit those even weaker than them.
What this film deeply concerns is, in an acquisitive society, these young people’s sufferings in hard realities of life, shortage of material things that they will never get rid of, souls’ burning in helplessness and confusion.
Director’s film-biography
Peng Tao, graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 2004. His first feature film “Little Moth” (2007) on which he worked as producer, scriptwriter and director, has been screened in more than 50 international film festivals and received 13 international awards, including the NETPAC Award at 60th Locarno International Film Festival, “Golden Pyramid Award” at 31st Cairo International Film Festival (International Competition for Feature Digital Films), etc. His second feature “Floating In Memory” (2009), developed with the assistance of the Sundance Institute Feature Film Program and produced with financial support of the Hubert Bals Fund, was screened in VPRO Tiger Awards Competition in 2009 Rotterdam International Film Festival.

故事大纲
17岁的小秀是一个从边远山区来小城镇里打工的女孩。她的生活单调乏味，直到一天在舞厅里遇到一个和她搭讪的男孩金强。俩人慢慢熟了起来。
其实金强是当地卖淫集团的马仔，他靠引诱未成年女孩加入团伙卖淫谋利。小秀就是金强看中的新目标。
金强被本地黑帮老大命令去绑架县人大主任的儿子，小男孩却意外死亡。
小秀怀孕了，但这时金强却不见了。鞋店的老板许诺给她一笔钱，让她生下孩子给他们收养……
这个故事讲述的是那些生活在社会底层的人，为了生存只能欺骗和逼迫比他们更弱的人。意欲表现的不仅仅是一个女孩如何失去她的纯真，也是一个国家如何面对成长的痛。
导演阐述
我创作这个影片的最初动机来自一则有关犯罪事实的报道。这部影片意欲表现的是从中国农村走到县城打工的青年人的生活状况。那些来自农村底层的穷人，为了生存只能欺骗和逼迫同类的穷人。他们为严酷的生活所煎熬，无法摆脱的物质匮乏和精神的无助困惑。
影片采用长镜头，手持拍摄，非专业演员真实的将这些生活呈现出来。画面一直处于不稳定的状态中以加强真实现场感，让观众感受剧中人物的呼吸和脉搏，倾听他们的心灵，关注他们的命运。在影片色彩处理上，采用冷调，颜色不饱和，以及面面总体偏暗来表现人物内心和表现当代中国这种混沌的状态。
导演简历
彭韬，毕业于北京电影学院文学系，获文学学士学位。2003年拍摄短片《冬天里的故事》获北京大学生电影节优秀短片奖，2004年拍摄35MM短片《再见童年》获北京电影学院金字奖一等奖。

并获得2008年鹿特丹Hubert Bals Fund资金支持.
