In this RAM HIGHLIGHT project, Kristan Jankowski invited local personal fitness trainers to design a set of sports movements based on the historical architectural space of the museum, trying to deconstruct the heavy history and complex publicity in a humorous way . In another piece, "Heavyweight History," weightlifters combined physical movement and art to lift monuments across Warsaw, Poland. In this way, a new history is created before our eyes!
Artist He Ziyan cites the popular gong music in Southeast Asia to further explore the characteristics of bronze material: fluidity, viscosity and melting, playing the history of the region, opening up the complex social, political and environmental context of Southeast Asia, as well as the influence of colonial history.
The two artists, Christian Jankowski and He Ziyan, try to re-examine the history that has passed, or even has not passed, through their different artistic practices and creative methods. If we want to reflect on and think about the current state of the world, how should we view, understand, interpret, and deconstruct history?
In this era of turmoil, information confusion, and even disintegration, the world is still running fast, and we urgently need an opportunity to stop and watch the changes in the flow of time and self-examination.
