By inviting individual vendors with a DIY spirit to gather at the Rockbund Art Museum assembles' market, the rare joys of the local community, the energy and vitality of the Cedar community, and the flexible and open atmosphere of a street market are brought back to the concrete world. In a spontaneous, community-driven way that meets the needs of the people, the event fosters the exchange, interaction, and warmth of random encounters. This not only fosters material exchange and the recycling of idle items, but also creates unexpected social interactions driven by shared interests. For RAMa, the Cedar Market is a "Shanghai Picnic" filled with interpersonal connections. Amidst the formal architecture, one encounters the intimacy and freedom of the architectural soul. Under the shelter of a solid, ideal public space, in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, people's fragile yet sincere emotions are revealed and nurtured.
In line with the picnic theme, this market featured safe and delicious portable meals, handmade decorative crafts made from a variety of recycled materials, rare collectibles acquired through careful attention to life and hobbies, beautiful daily necessities made by DIY using original and cute designs, computer repair/electronic instrument modification that makes up for one's shortcomings in professional fields, and beautiful decorations that are the embodiment of creative ideas.
