This era is flooded with images whose power as a result is often dissolved. How can we fully release the power of images? This workshop starts out from textual criticism of history of dynamic images and explores the reconstruction, politics and possible power of the “invisible” images. Then it further investigates how found footages can break the shackles of western experimental films and step into contemporary art practice.

In this workshop, we will lead the students to think about the relationship between individuals and history, reflect on how memories and histories are built, and then work towards telling new stories.
