The production of a text is followed by a series of consumption activities including dissemination and criticism. The text will also transform during consumption. Compared to creators of visual artworks, the authors of texts are not aware of the existence of their consumers. Texts and other artworks that can be reproduced also have another characteristic: collective consumption. This feature gives texts a perfect ethical structure.
