Taking book A History of Exhibitions-Shanghai 1979-2006, an archive of an artist-organised exhibitions in Shanghai, talk will look at the early artists organized exhibitions in Shanghai during 1980’s and importance of artists friendship and solidarity in times when there was no art infrastructure or so called institutionalization of friendship that was of great importance for many local contexts.
