The Unnamable, Based on Samuel Beckett The Unnamable

The Unnamable made its entrance in the form of monologue, explore the existence of human being -- I am me, I am not me, the shape of me is ever-changing, I can be Murphy, Molloy, Malone, or anyone under Beckett’s pen, any one of ‘me’. Who am I?

What we used to think of clowns is that they wear the cheerful makeup with rounded red nose and big upward mouth. They get shaggy wigs on heads and heavy shoes on foot. The job they do seem to make everyone laugh with stunning magic performance. What are clowns symbolized, the happiness or sadness? Funny balloon magic show and performance all come from traditional American style clown actors! It will be a totally different experience from the exhibition.

Li Lingxi graduated at the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Art College from Beijing in 1992, majoring in ballet and classical/ethnic Chinese dance. In 2003, she went to Norway to study ballet and modern dance’s composition, improvisation and choreography. Since the beginning of her career, Li Lingxi has been always experimenting and exploring new ideas for the development of contemporary dance participating also to some important events.

Art and/or Social Movement Vol. 3: The Genealogy of Participatory Art-Sacrifice, Intervention and Occupation

The speech is a genealogical survey of what the school of participatory art has gone through in its 150 years’ history. It traces back to the ideals of Richard Wagner in his anticipation of future works of art, the political accelerations of the futurists and surrealists, the radical political resistance of the 1960s and the occupation movements in these times. Two case studies shall be done to map its influence in the practice of contemporary art.

Since calligraphic master Mi Fu’s Four-letter stone Appreciating View of “Shou (thin), Tou (transparent), Zhou (wrinkled) and Lou (leaking)” has become a numb doctrine, learning about the foundation and cultural connotation of Chinese landscape meets the need of exploration of cultural hereditary behind the stone and mountain usage in classical Chinese garden, in the meantime, the two-way appreciating view between stone and mountain contributes to the exploration as well.
