Music is a word to encompass something that takes as many forms as they are cultural or subcultural identities. When you listen to music,you seem to leave the world of people and things, and enter one of thought and feeling. Or at least, that is one of the many experiences that music has to offer. On each musical piece, you can hear and feel a story of the composer’s own. For Luong Hue Trinh, she also has her own stories but she always want to create a space where the others also can have their own story. Preferring quality and taste to quantity, she plays a very personal style of electronic music. Though her background is jazz music but the contemporary music has been conquering her quickly and strongly. Recently she is professional working on electro-acoustic music. Plunging deep roots into Vietnamese traditional music, she’s been used to use it as the main element on each her performing to find there the energy for adventurous musical explorations. Her seamless blend of field recording, ambient soundscape and Vietnamese traditional music offers a space for imagination. She will introduce the Vietnamese traditional music which she is working on in her performance night.
Luong Hue Trinh graduated in jazz keyboard, 5 years working experience in electro-acoustic music in Hanoi. Collaborating with the video arts,installation arts and live performing with the silent film. Her sound installation works were commissioned for the contemporary exhibitions, exhibited in 5 Southeast Asian countries,performing in the festivals and concerts.
