Lecture: Enlightened Nature

The lecture will follow the trajectory of the evolutionary history and talk about some of the most representative moments, in order to present its difficulty and greatness through displaying the various aspects of Life: hibernation, exploration, expansion, evolvement, survival, extinction, socialization and etc. That would remind the human to respect the nature and to exam themselves. Only when we realize that no living specie can exist without others within the ‘earth village’, would it be possible for us to create a harmony living environment and develop the society in a sustainable way.
In 1984, he wad graduated from the School of Biology of Fudan University. Within the same year, he entered the Shanghai Natural History Museum and then started his research career on zoology. Specific in the area of herpetology , Cen was a member of China Herpetology Advisory Committee of IUCN and Shanghai Zoology Council.
He has published more than 30 popular science books and won many national awards and provincial ones in Shanghai. The co-authored 12 volumes series Picture Book of Science was awarded the 2004 Bing Xin Children’s Books Award.
