Born in Chiang Mai (Thailand) in 1971. Lives and works in Thailand and Japan.
Trained as painter, Navin Rawanchaikul is an eclectic artist capable of moving from the role of communicator to that of organizer and entertainer. His projects find their space on the street, on billboards, on means of public transport and in restaurants. Rawanchaikul's art is always site-specific, developed through a wide variety of media, it reflects on the idea of social and artistic community. Through his interventions, the artist seek collaboration with the local context and the activities that take place in it, involving people for outside the art world.
